We’ll be officially launching in November 2021 and this website will be populated with lots of details including a full help centre with lots of articles on the ins and outs.   As well, we’ll be having weekly live webinars you can take part in where you can ask the Vice President of Motivated Haircutters and the President of Motivated Brands Inc., direct questions and get direct answers.

How It Works

Because we are remote, you never have to come to a salon as we handle everything remotely through omni-channel call center and Professional Haircutter app.  Through our app you set the postal code service areas you want to be available to accept haircuts in and the days and times you want to accept them.  We handle the rest!

Customers will either call in or go online to book.  They can select the service type they want and see a list of the slots available to choose from or they can enter your name and see only your available slots to book you directly.  You’ll get a notification you’ve been booked.   It’s that simple!

On top of the actual service price the Customer pays a service fee to cover your travel costs to and from their locations and as a special fee for the luxury of getting their hair cut in their own space rather than having to travel to and from a barbershop or salon themselves.  When they book they can choose to tip you a dollar or percentage amount.    After every haircut the Customer will be asked to rate your work, which you will be able to see, and asked if they wish to tip online.  Of course,  some Customers will tip cash.

If you happen to have some extra time and want to be available to earn you can easily add a shift through our app and if you are not booked already and want to take away a shift, that is just as seamless.  As well, there is a waiting list feature so if you are off and see a haircutting job or jobs that you like you can grab them directly from the waiting list.

You’ll be an independent contractor, which means you’ll be your own boss.  Don’t worry though, we’ll give you complimentary access to our world-class online Motivated Brands Academy where we have lots of great information on the ins and outs of it running your own Nano-Business.  It is not complicated at all and we’ll guide you every step of the way. 

As a Nano-Business owner you’ll get to claim legitimate business expenses as a tax deduction which will reduce your taxable income and thus the amount of tax you have to pay.  Just a few of the things you’ll be able to claim are the cost of your supplies, your equipment, the kilometres on your vehicle, gas and even some or all of your vehicle payment depending on if you lease or finance your vehicle.

All this means you get to keep more of your hard earned money where it belongs, in your pocket, rather than paying it out in income tax. As well, once you have been with us for three months you are eligible to qualify for health insurance too!

There is no complicated payout system. We keep it easy and simple.  We simply bill our Customers and then pay you 70% of the amount we bill.  Each week, on Fridays,  we process your remuneration right through our app and it gets pushed directly to your bank account.  Easy and simple!
